The Basílica de la Sagrada Família began construction on March 19th, 1882, and continues to this day. Now, you get to join in the endeavor as a stained-glass glazier, competing with your contemporaries to fill this iconic cathedral with a symphony of light.
Each player gets a window board with a pattern card. Your goal is to arrange the colorful dice onto your window board, collecting them one per turn, in a way that completes as many objectives as possible.
Your first objective is your pattern card. You must place the dice so they match the colors and numbers on your pattern card, making sure no two dice of the same color or number are sharing a side.
As you’re doing that, there are also public and private objectives to complete. Can you make the middle row all different colors? Can you include at least two lighter colors in your design? How about ALL of the available colors?
Be careful… Completing one objective might make it impossible to complete another… The player to complete the most objectives and rack up the most points over 10 rounds wins the game!
Cleverness, creativity, and problem-solving will be put to the test with the vibrant and fascinating game of Sagrada.
Sagrada
Why Our Fat Brain Experts Like It:
“We’ve chosen to feature Sagrada because it is a visually stunning game that marries its theme so well with the game mechanics. Translucent colored dice stand in as the panes of stained-glass windows. Window pattern cards which slip into the cathedral-themed player board frames create an immersive experience and are a means of continued variety and replayability. From a gameplay standpoint, Sagrada highlights the ‘drafting’ mechanism. Games which utilize drafting have players select a resource (such as cards or dice) from a common pool of these assets. Sagrada’s rules are short and while there is a small learning curve, once you get the hang of it, the game moves quickly and is easy to play. A fan favorite in the 8-10+ family strategy category in which Fat Brain specializes.”
